Weren't there non-Major Renault 10 in France? (though that most are listed as Major here in the site, I also find that strange) -- Last edit: 2007-12-19 14:16:09 |

I think 'Major' was also in Spain (I just forgot to add this name...) See this Spanish site: http://es.geocities.com/elrenault8/regie.html |

Might be... In many articles and sites I found just Renault 10, but also often it is Renault 10 Major. I still couldn't find out why and when 'Major' is added or not and on what markets it was like this or the other way. Only for the US-market I'm sure it was just Renault 10, without Major: /vehicle.php?id=113389. I guess we should use '10 Major' for all except the US models, until we'll have more precize infos. |

I´m not sure, but I think the name Major was on the first series of R10 and dropped with the facelifted version. On the swedish market that is, about the spanish I don´t know. |

It has to be called simply a Renault 10 (or "Renault 10 FASA" if you prefer). Every R10 built in Spain from the beginning to the end was simply "Renault 10", as the "surname" "Major" was never adopted for the Spanish version, and had a specific front badge with "RENAULT" taking the place of "Major". |
