Still produced in France? Weren't the latest versions, especially the pick-up made somewhere else? Or do I confuse it with the Argentinian 504?

They were build in France by Chausson (and were developped by this coachbuilder)in Montataire-Creil.

The latest version, from 1993, had a much higher ride, new dashboard, new front bumper like Argentinian 504.

The Chausson factory closed in march 1996, the pickup died (at least in Europe) with the factory

I guess it was produced longer in other factories. Or were only the sedan and wagon? (these two are still listed in the car configurator of Peugeot Nigeria website, btw...)

CKD (Complete knocked Down) were sent from Vesoul to different countries, like Nigeria for 504 sedan and wagon until 2005. I have the feeling they stopped the pickup earlier.

Anyway, the brochure is still available at Peugeot Nigeria!!!

Who knows? Last 504 were sent in CKD, then assembled in 2006.

Because it's a better car than the 407. Thought for the day as a forum topic - nominations for "The Great Leap Backwards" cars that were worse than their immediate predecessors - http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-6515-42932.html .
