I believe so. The Concord had a different grill. |

Ugly Fox-platform Ford Thunderbird serving as prominent background car, behind it a Dodge Avenger coupe |

Those Thunderbirds are far from ugly, IMO. I almost bought a bright red '83 with a 3.8 liter V6 for my second car, but I got an '85 Volvo 244 GL instead. That was six years ago this month and I'm still not sure whether it was the right decision or not. -- Last edit: 2007-12-08 15:50:17 |

Well, they are similar in many ways, when it comes to styling. The difference is that in the case of Volvo, it gives it a unique charm - in case of the Thunderbird, it is a poor joke. |

Ugly? The pretty '83 replaced the ugly '80 to '82 T-Bird. |

The 1980 was actually much more bearable in its pimped boxy glory than the "molten" 1983... -- Last edit: 2007-12-08 19:50:48 |

Sorry for american peoples here, but the worst for american car-design begun in the late 70's and 80's till now ....few exceptions are some cars like Chrysler 300C ( a real beauty ...) or older AMC Pacer, Lincoln LS .. of course this is very subjective |

Don't worry about it? Many Americans agree with you to a degree?? Myself,I just thought many of these eras cars were just horribly gutless, and some of the engineering a bit questionable?? (350 Diesel Olds,V-8-6-4 Cadillac,Chrysler's "Lean Burn" ignition,(Many when the cars got a few years old wouldn't stay running if it were raining....or after you washed it!!)the "Cross-Fire" injection on some early 80's 'Vettes/'82 Z-28's(same problem..didn't like car washes)and some of the early digital dashes....like the optional ones in the above T-Birds,1980 the very worst!!!) -- Last edit: 2007-12-08 21:01:43 |

I'll have you know that the AMC Pacer is a very nice car *look at username*. Many people including me like driving unique cars, and the Pacer has a pretty big cult following. Anyway the point is, you like what you like. |
