By the look of the painted radiator grille, the supposed lack of chrome extensions on the bumper and the straight headlight bezels it seems to be an early 1957 Base model and today even rarer than the "Victor Super" model. |

Hi The Victor shown is a 1957 series 1 standard base model as I own one of these. This was the basic Victor in the range, with less trim, painted rear window surround, no rear wing lower chrome strips, only one sun visor inside (for driver), no door arm rests, and a centre horn push, and the exhaust exiting from underneath the rear bumper rather than from the corner bumper section of the "Super" I understand these were mainly bought as fleet vehicles of the day, there was about £30 difference in the price of the Standard and Super models. Cheers! |
