The (British) number-plate makes it a 1966 model ... but at the beginning of the movie (when the car is stolen) ..it shows the back of the car as a Jensen Interceptor series 3 (..not 1966.!!) |

The 'E' suffix stands for the time January 1st, 1967 to July 31st, 1967. That was the year when the start of the new letter was moved from January to August. The Mk.III is, as you said, a lot younger (August 1971 to December 1976), but this car is a Mk.I (September 1966 to September 1969). The position and style of the indicators and the bumper give it away. |
