BTR-60 of Russian origin
Manufacturer: Gorkiy Automobile Plant, Gorkiy

Oops, have to correct this. BTR-60 has 4 axles, this one has 2.

So it's a BRDM-2 (sometimes referenced as BTR-40 P2, but has a top very different from BTR-40).
Like the BTR-60, it's manufactured by the Molotov GAZ factory in Gorkyi.

Then we could list it under the "GAZ" make? :??:

I think so. Do it until someone has a better idea or a better source for the name of the manufacturer. :)

I was misled first, because the two tanks look very similar from the top.

Sorry, but it is not a BRDM-2.

This is one:

So far I don't know what it is.

I will erase the wrong name to trigger the search again. :)

It's either a deriviant of the BRDM or the Czech copy, an OT-65...

They appear to be BRDM 2 variants: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BRDM

hope this helps.

Thanks for bringing it up to my attention again!

It is definitely not a BRDM-2, but tries to look like one.
I am quite convinced it is a mock up. It look similar to this Hollywood creation: /vehicle_54763-Made-for-Movie.html
