From the Beaulieu Museum website: Royal Enfield Quadricycle 1900 Enfield Cycle Company Ltd, Redditch, Worcestershi Nationality British Capacity 244cc Cylinders 1 Valves Output Max Speed 30 mph Price New Not quoted Tandem-seated Quadricycles were commonplace at the turn of the century. This was Royal Enfield Work's prototype and contains parts from four different years. It languished at the factory for many years before coming to Beaulieu in 1958. The seating arrangement puts the passenger next to the accident and, with only 244cc, the crew often had to dismount to push on hills! |
