Radiator says Packard to me. My guess is 1931. -- Last edit: 2007-11-29 09:16:02 |

1930 Packard Standard Eight ( seventh series model 726 sedan , built august 1929 to august 1930).The front bumper is not original. |

I think this car is a bit later than 1930 as it has no visor over the windscreen. Maybe 1931 8th series or even 1932 9th series? http://www.vmcca.org/images/GR5.jpg this one is a '32. -- Last edit: 2007-11-30 08:56:40 |

You've got something there. The link found by 58Roadmaster shows that too. http://mmm.lib.msu.edu/search/results.cfm -- Last edit: 2007-11-30 11:17:56 |

I did a further check and yes you are right with the sun visor point for 1930 .The eight series Packards also had a roof extension above the windshield .So this would make it a Packard Standard Eight 1932 ( ninth series model 901 sedan on the shorter 129 1/2 inches wheelbase ; those had a rather long production run , from june 1931 to january 1933 ).I should have noticed the ventilation doors of the ninth series slightly visible behind the sidemount-seventh and eight series standard eights had classic hood louvres. |
