All Typ 2 were aircooled, no? (actually last Typ 2 was T3, I should some day change the T4/T5) |

The VW T3 (Type 2, correctly Type 253, 1979-1990,) was aircooled only in the first 2-3 years of production, then it got the watercooled boxer-engines, Fuel or Diesel. Easy to see: the watercooled T3 have a second grille underneath the main grill, the aircooled ones, like that one above, only one. |

I thought that the second grille was related to diesel versions only, from some comment made earlier here on the site. About T4/T5, do you have some info on which chassis code we could use? When I searched info I found many different codes, not easy for classifying them. -- Last edit: 2007-11-21 14:34:27 |

No, also the watercooled fuel-engines had the second grille. About the chassis-code of the T4 and T5 I must ask around. My personal interest in cars stopped in the 80ies, so I don't know much about actual models ("actual" means: cars with plastic bumpers) -- Last edit: 2007-11-21 15:05:29 |

Uups, a mistake: the T3 is the "Typ 25": Link to "www.vebeg.de" Just the part-numbers are strating with 253..., also with 251... Aaah, the "Doka" (Doppelkabine) is the "Typ 24" : Link to "www.vebeg.de" ..unfortunately no photos |

They could've possibly reused the same van from Golf Punks, which would not surprise me since both movies were filmed in Vancouver. The bumper also seems to match, because that black piece on the left side is gone. If it is the same one, then it's probably a Vanagon L. /vehicle.php?id=1068278 -- Last edit: 2018-01-11 16:46:22 |
