The MGC is a six-cylinder MGB, if I'm not mistaken (either way, you can tell it's a C and not a B by the bulge in the hood). |

It took the 3 litre engine of the Austin-Healey 3000. When the big Healey stopped production they needed a model to take its place. But it was never a success and only sold in low numbers. |

Ep.7.17 "Killer" Meurtres au programme Unique appearance of BWM 300G , Lady Diana Forbes-Blakeney's car , who's Steed's female partner in this episode, Tara King playing a very short role. The car is driven by Steed for a while. |

The six cylinder 'truck' engine was too heavy and unbalanced the car , hence they weren't a big success. The lightweight aluminimum Rover V8 in the later MG's was much better . -- Last edit: 2010-04-14 13:16:45 |

Given that this episode was filmed in September 1968, a month after 'G' registrations appeared, and the same year that the model was introduced, this is likely to be a BMC/BL fleet car. |

Registration is from Southport in Merseyside so probably not a BMC fleet car. |

confusing ....the bonnet is correct for a 'C' but no 'power buldge' so that the twin carbs didn't hit the bonnet???? I had one of these babies back in 1972 (hardtop) that's how I know. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm |

Fake plate - BWM never issued with G. See also this MGC GT and notice a slight smell of something fishy in the air.... |
