They are all made for DDR right? |

No, they sold elsewhere too. But from what I can find quite a few were sold to DDR, if this car is one of them I don´t know. They were stretched and assembled by Bertone and some equipment was mounted in the DDR before delivery. This car runs with a four cylinder engine for the moment, quite a common destiny for old 260-series, and I guess there´s something wrong with the interior because all interior scenes of the car comes from a Mercedes S-Class (I think) |

As I've read somewhere else in this forum (writen by wickey, as I know), were these Bertone-Volvos only made for the GDR-government. |

The question was if they were delivered to other governments than the GDR. I don´t know about that, more than that the swedish government had them. But the model was sold to private customers. |

well the production numbers and destiny of all pieces is not precisely known, but majority of them were sold to DDR - www.volvobertone.com especially article "Volvo in service of socialism" -- Last edit: 2007-11-21 14:07:28 |

The interiors scenes which were supposed to be in this Volvo are not taken from a Volvo 264, but in a Mercedes or BMW...or any other luxury modern sedan. |

I suggest to list it as "made for DDR", as the 244 DLS, too. @wickey: ![]() it seems to be "jan244"'s homepage. ![]() |
