Sure that that is a Lacetti??, if so then it is way smaller than the european one, that seems to me the current Accent or Kia Rio... |

Built in India? |

yeah GM has a plant in india...but they are not authentic chevy that US has...they built... Optra, Aveo, Spark...which is actually daewoo underneath which GM owns.. A MUV named Tavera..which is basically Isuzu underneath... it launched Opel corsa etc...but they flopped bigtime. |

@maruti800: in Europe it's the same. The cars, sold actually under the name Chevrolet, are basicially Daewoo's. A few US-made Chevrolet you can see, too, but it's the minority. I don't know, is actually a US-made Chevrolet is in the German GM-programme. Perhaps a SUV or so. |

AFAIK, Kroymans stopped importing big SUVs and pickups from North America, but the HHR is coming via regular Chevrolet dealerships |

PS. Model origin is South Korea, not USA, and as Maruti800 said, built in India most probably. |

i think it was called Daewoo nubira before when Daewoo went bust. |

Yes, under that name it was sold in Europe, too. Weren't they assembled somewhere in Europe, too? |
◊ 2007-12-23 21:07 |
AFAIK Lacetti will assembled in Europe in Russia, but assembling will start in 2008. |

Thanks for the link. Interesting, that in Germany it's also sold under the name Lacetti. I never have seen one - resp. recognized one. I refuse to registrate such cars in my brain. |

I am hearing sales are relatively strong in Germany, but this concerns the hatchback for the most part. Of all names used for this car, Optra is by far the worst. |
