Je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit un Reo... Est-ce un convoi de véhicules des forces US stationnées en France à cette époque, peut-être?

Il semble bien que ce soit un Reo, mais est-ce que M35 est convenable? car les exemples sur le site s'appliquent à des porteurs, alors que ceux ci semble être des tracteurs de semi

The design came from Reo and GMC, also produced by AM General, Kaiser, Studebaker and Curtis Wright. The Model is M35 from 1955.

Those are all M818 tractors. The M35 is a cargo body version.

You are right, it is a tractor, but the M-52 5-ton 6x6 and not the M-818 which wasn't available in 1956 (date of filming).

Neither on en.wiki nor Olive-drab is said Reo to have been contractor for the M-54/M-39 (G744) Series.

This said, I don't know if there was a prominent maître d’œuvre for this special M-52, between IH and Kaiser, or Diamond T and Mack.

I (temporarily?) revert to IH, and to "1951" first year of production, since "1955" was not explained.
