Sandie ◊ 2020-03-14 18:09	Not saying it is an XJ12, but Series 3 didn't have a grille badge for the V12. Really there's nothing visible yet that can say which version it is. Optional extras like foglights and alloys could come on all versions and weren't even necessarily standard on the higher versions. Think the Sovereign almost always had rear headrests, which this one doesn't have.
dsl ◊ 2020-03-14 19:23	No tints, looks like painted coachline instead of chrome strip, so revising my idea of Sovereign (plus no rear headrests as mentioned ^). No headlight wipers either (variable dates by model, but I think V12s had them from July 81). And now I've googled lots of pictures, chrome mirrors/lots of window chrome are meaningless - seems all S3 had them, even basic models. So plain XJ6 with fogs, or maybe early before mid-81 XJ12. And a note to self to be more cautious next time ....
