I wonder if it's one of the Fowler BB1 Ploughing Engine twins produced in 1918, known as Master & Mistress. They were the first two BB1 ploughing engines, and produced for a munitions contract and sold to Arthur Stratton of Alton Priors, near Pewsey, Wiltshire. ‘Master’ was No.15139 and registered HR 3399, and ‘Mistress’ No.15138, is HR 3398. Info from this front cover of Oxford Diecast's magazine Globe, #266 (just issued). "... both engines appeared in the 1962 film ‘The Iron Maiden’, and after various separated adventures are now reunited in same ownership. |
