That was carefully worded, @Mystery Man: I know exactly 'something' about it, but not the full story. Carrosserie Labbé of Lamballe, France, built Peugeot 505 limousines - but not that one. Several of these were built, apparently by a Spanish coachbuilder. The car is about as long as the Bergadana-bodied 505 funeral coaches, which might be an indicator. I don't think PV built it, but it might well be one coachbuilder from the Xàtiva trilogy (Carrocerias Mirsan - Cotex - Planxisteria Xàtiva) and in that case it would probably be Cotex. But that's all my crystal ball tells me here. Unfortunately the fantastic collection of véhicules hors série is largely offline nowadays, but the webmaster also knew about these Spanish conversions without mentioning (= knowing) the coachbuilder: |
