no , the Tiger was the V8 converted model by Carol Shelby. Very rare, and you wouldnt see them 'out on the street' that much. This is a 'normal engined' Sunbeam Alpine |

Carol Shelby only built one experimental car, for Rootes North America. It was shipped to England for examination. Another car was built in England by Ken Miles. Sunbeam Tigers were built by Jensen. Between 6,000 and 7,000 were produced. Nobody knows the exact number as Chrysler's contribution to Sunbeam's motoring heritage was to destroy most of the records. |
