We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided TRIUMPH HERALD 13/60 1967 Registration number: JUF 365E Body type: Convertible Colour: Red Date of first registration: April 1967 Which is very odd as the 13/60 did not appear until Sept 67. Text from a 2010 auction entry: "1967 Triumph Herald 13/60 convertible, registration JUF 365E, chassis GA223268CV, engine GE59707HE, red. This retired motor engineer's 13/60 convertible has had a body-off full restoration. The body was removed from the chassis and new sills and other panels were replaced, with a full re-spray in red and a new hood and carpets were fitted. The engine was rebuilt and a reconditioned four speed gearbox was installed, the suspension was rebuilt with Spax shock absorbers, there is a full tonneau cover and hood cover, and the rear half-shafts and bearings have been replaced. This rebuilt Herald is now ready to enjoy summer topless motoring." So I guess a late 1200 convertible rebuilt as a 13/60. xUF is a Brighton series, so no connection with Triumph in Coventry, so a pre-pro 13/60 very unlikely. |

Motor-coper’s hyperbole no doubt. |

Just saw this movie. Although the vehicle details are slightly different, the combination of a red Triumph Herald convertible and that size and shape caravan, are straight out of the Tintin book “The Black Island”. A coincidence? I think not. |
