Looks it was sold as the Holden Jackaroo.

Yep. Holden Jackaroo - Specifically a 1994-97 'SE' model

It has sliver two-toning, which was available from 1994 onwards and it's a pre-1998 facelift model.

Doesn't look like a Jackaroo - more than likely a grey import Isuzu Bighorn. It looks too fancy - most Jackaroos didn't have chrome trim around the window frames, nor chrome mirrors. The one exception was the rare Jackaroo "Monterey", but this trim level wasn't sold in NZ*, and it had different wheels. *note: the Monterey was never sold as a Jackaroo in NZ, and not in pre-facelift form. It only arrived in 2001, as a stand-alone nameplate.

Edit: I just checked NZ rego info, and I can pretty much say with 99% certainty that this is an Isuzu, not Holden. To my amazement, I discovered that there over 8500 Isuzu Bighorns registered in NZ (plus an additional ~160 Troopers), compared with only 95 Holden Jackaroos in the entire country (in addition to 123 "Holden Montereys"). So that's 218 Holden badged versions, compared to approx 8700 Isuzu versions! Obviously, the Jackaroo was never a big seller in NZ. In Australia, by comparison, there are over 10,000 Holden Jackaroos still registered.

Interestingly, there are 6 Opel Montereys and 1 Vauxhall Monterey registered in NZ as well.
