Plaza/Savoy? |

I downloaded the movie (see the movie page on imcdb) for ten bucks. The first reel is good quality, the second moves into 16mm territory, and, at times, is very poor. I read the DVD is much higher quality picture and sound and extra features, I recommend that. Since I have this, I can go back and confirm the model. In one of the chase scenes with the Bill Rolland hot rod, the Plymouth squad car switches back and forth with the Chevrolet Biscayne (only one car pulls the guy over). -- Last edit: 2007-11-20 16:51:01 |

Plymouth only offered their police package in 57 on the Plaza and the Savoy. The difference between the two cars was interior features and side trim so it would be imposible to tell from the front alone. If somebody could find a side shot, the Plaza body sides were untrimmed while the Savoy had slender, chrome side trim. The car doesn't seem to have a passenger side mirror so if I were to take a wild stab in the dark, I would say it was a lower level Plaza. |
