If it is an MG as entered, it's an unusual style - straight doors and low handle for dwarves don't match anything I can find in picture books. I guess a 4 seater for length behind door and side screen shape. |

The radiator is completely wrong for an MG. The options might be, AC, Alvis, Jensen, or one of the low volume makes like Railton (unlikely) Batten, or Allard (but the front suspension looks wrong). The twerp with the silly hat obscuring the dashboard doesn’t help, but the thumb doesn’t either. My money is on a mid 30s AC, swoopy scuttle looks favourite. -- Last edit: 2019-12-19 09:32:55 |

An AC 16/70 with March Special Sports Tourer body seems to fit pretty well, such as this 1936 example - apparently only 23 made. Particular boxes ticked include vents on bonnet top and no side vent between rear edge of bonnet and door. |

From comparing the AC 16/70 March Special Sports Tourer with the movie vehicle; an excellent match - nothing to say its not and only a slightly tidier treatment under the passenger door on the restored example. Good identification jfs and good find and confirmation, dsl! -- Last edit: 2019-12-20 16:47:50 |
