The 'World of Top Gear' exhibition closed not quite two weeks ago. Now, there's word that a lot of the remaining cars might be scrapped (including the indestructible Hilux). ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6nQ25tT-K0 Some of the earlier exhibition cars already have been, such as Sabine Schmitz's double-decker Mercedes/VW from The British vs. The Germans episode. -- Last edit: 2024-11-12 17:06:41 |

Richard & May Ambulances from Season 22, The trio police car's from Season 11, the Rover James, the Alfa/Saab stretched limousine, The Hovervan, the Renault Espace peoplemover, and the Austin Princess were all on displayed on the Exhibition as well (aswell as a few other cars). They were all moved at some point and from what I've gathered, it appears that they were all scrap ![]() Given the BBC past track record I doubt many of the remaining cars will live to see another day. I have a feeling that the indestructible Hilux, Geoff & the TGV12 might be kept by the BBC (as they're the most iconic cars out of the lot). Cars like the car-boats from Season 10 (including the VW Transporter) are in such horrible condition that I wouldn't be surprised if the BBC just scraps them.... -- Last edit: 2024-11-13 18:07:38 |

https://youtu.be/N80PT6DwKcU?si=n181m_z-zHJd5VX5 Update on the situation Bad news is: The Panda-Limo, Rocket Mini, Double-Decker Cars, and the Airship/Blimp Caravan were confirmed to be scrapped by the BBC and they no longer exist ![]() Good news is: Apparently all of the other cars that were at the TG exhibit will be moved to a new museum, so there's still hope that the rest are still around ![]() -- Last edit: 2025-01-16 03:54:54 |
