Agree Healey and very Silverstone-ish (104 or 105 made). But seems not the usual body with cycle wings. wiki says "The original 1949 Silverstone (D-Type) cockpit was comparatively narrow and was cramped whereas the later 1950 Silverstone (E-Type) was made wider and therefore more comfortable. Both versions were comparatively successful on the track.". But this is not the usual E-Type body, which still had cycle wings (and a bonnet scoop (example). Or there's a strange screen effect making it look like a full width body, although I'm still not convinced it has the usual full cycle wing shape of a tall teardrop tapering rearwards ...... |

There's more pictures here (but more directed at illustrating locations than the car): https://www.reelstreets.com/films/night-of-the-prowler/ |

Sorry to disagree dsl, but they've taken the wings off, which alters the appearance considerably. The little oblong portholes along the side seem to match, the cutout for the door, and the position of the hinges match the Silverstone picture I have linked to. I believe that I have called it correctly, and think we have suffered from an optical illusion. Are we going to see anything more from this film? -- Last edit: 2019-11-24 21:57:48 |

^ OK - maybe it's just had the wings removed. Mad thought from the location photos - is it being tested on the same airfield recently used as the test track for "The Grand Tour"?? The pic with Commer ambulance has a background house which looks kinda familiar .... |

I have never watched "The Grand Tour" so can't help. As far as the subject car is concerned, the Reelstreets captures 3 and 6 are suggested in support of my theory, esp. 6 with the spare tyre "bumper". -- Last edit: 2019-11-24 22:10:15 |

Main picture also replaced (corrected aspect ratio and cropping eliminated). -- Last edit: 2020-12-27 15:27:12 |
