A mate and I used to run one of these as a prod. car trials and grass hill climb vehicle. It had a large appetite for big end bearings, until one Sunday afternoon at a local grass hill climb I managed to destroy the engine completely. It would have been good to have kept one of the bent conrods or the two separate halves that remained of the crankshaft and had them polished and mounted on plinths, but you don’t think at the time and we already had the next project planned. |
