Very tough call. I can't see enough detail to make an identification, but I would guess it is a Valiant V100. Are there any shots with less smoke? |

I think all the Lancers had the chrome on the front guard, curving down on the front door, with L A N C E R underneath like this one http://www.gjsims.com/tksimg/1961DodgeLancer.jpg so I am prepared to say it is a Valiant. It could be a 1960 or 1961, but I don't think it would be a 1962 with that deep dish steering wheel in the second thumbnail. Being filmed in Europe it would probably be a Chrysler |

I think Valiant,too??.....looks like he had a pretty wild ride? Looks like not only he hit a tree, but he might've rolled it over, too!!!!(roof damage) |

This is the best shot I could make. Only the aftermath of the accident is shown and I don't think they crashed the car for this film. They also put smoke for a special effect. In Finland we had both Chrysler Valiant and Dodge Lancer. Year 1960-1962 wagons were very popular because they could be converted to vans. -- Last edit: 2007-10-05 10:02:47 |

So, I think then Chrysler Valiant V100, 1960 or 61 |
