I'm quite sure it was not an original two-tone painting by Peugeot. And although the car has got chrome bumpers, it's a Commerciale, not a Familiale: in the second thumbnail you can clearly see the horizontal division between luggage room and the room for the spare wheel, but the Familiale had the spare wheel vertically placed behind the third row of seats. Also the chrome strips on the side are missing. According to René Bellu's "Toutes les Peugeots", the Commerciales had painted bumpers untill the end (1962); but according to "Rétroviseur" #71 (juillet 1994, dossier Peugeot 403), the Commerciales had chrome bumpers since 1958. |

Indeed, I didn't check on that points. The fact is that the chrome bumpers is not a good criteria to judge between a Commerciale and Familiale, and Bellu's infos aren't accurate on that point.
