The number 41 here may also be a Devin built by Devin Enterprises of El Monte , California. This one may be a Devin SS of ca 1958 powered by the Chevrolet Corvette 283 cubic inches engine .The chassis of these cars were similar to the ones used by Lister and were produced by Malcolm Mc Gregor in Ireland. One feature of these cars was the enormous hood air scoop. This car has a peculiar "panoramic" windshield. Only 15 complete units of this type were built.I would be very interested if someone has more information. |
