The firebird in this movie is actually a 350 car with the 400 emblem on the right trunk lid edge... They wanted to use my original Nightshade Green Firebird 400 for this movie (Quentin's handler approached me at a Pontiac car show) because it was so clean but they wanted to wrap it in yellow vinyl (uh, NO!). Still a great car and a great movie! Ponchos forever!! |

Not a convertible, as listed. It has a vinyl top. |

"This car, a 1968 Pontiac Firebird, comes from the production with the VIN number 223378U122366 and a Turbo 400-ci All WS6 transmission. The vehicle features the trademark ridged, elongated "snout" front with a black leather and polished chrome interior, a black vinyl roof, and a body painted "Mayfair Maize" yellow by production to match the real-life Folger car. This Firebird exhibits minor signs of use from production, including scuffs and minor rusting, but it remains in excellent and operable overall condition. Estimate: $25,000 - 35,000" https://propstore.com/entertainment-memorabilia-live-auction-la-2020/ |

Production did a great job of recreating this car, right down to the American Racing mag wheels (Abigail's Firebird was slightly souped-up). About the only thing missing is the Tom Bradley for Mayor bumper sticker. The actual car apparently belongs to someone in Georgia, in a very well-preserved state. If not, it's a very careful recreation: https://www.mansonblog.com/2018/11/the-coffee-heiress-part-3-yellow.html |

All because Manson failed to get a record contract from Doris Day's son. "It turned out that although Manson claimed the Tate murders were intended to instigate an apocalyptic race war, the supposed reality was that they may have been little more than the bloody end of a petty grudge. A failed musician, Manson was bitter about not receiving a record deal from producer Terry Melcher, who had previously lived at 10050 Cielo Drive. Manson family members Tex Watson, Susan Atkins, Linda Kasabian, and Patricia Krenwinkel were dispatched with the order to “totally destroy everyone in that house, as gruesome as you can.” https://allthatsinteresting.com/abigail-folger |

Is it true that 10050 Cielo Drive is haunted today? |

The current 10050 Cielo, built about 150 feet from the site of the original house, is claimed by its owner to be haunted. It was featured on an episode of the series "Ghost Adventures" a few years ago. |

This needs an update to coupe, it's a vinyl top like Skid said above. I found one like it parked north of downtown Seattle before. It's my favorite muscle car I've seen in public before along with a black 1971-72 Chevrolet Chevelle with white racing stripes that I saw parked in my town in Indiana. |

Scratch that...some behind the scenes pictures show that it DID have the Bradley bumper sticker. The actual only thing missing is the twin-scooped Firebird 400 hood, though it does have the correct 400 badging. -- Last edit: 2023-03-01 05:17:41 |
