Should have "Replica" on the end of it's name. Since it really is just a
replica of the Chevrolet Camaro Concept car.

It was built by GM and Saleen on a chopped up current model Pontiac GTO chassis.
The body is Fiberglass, made from exact molds of the Chevrolet Camaro Concept show
car. The "5-Spoke Alloy Wheels" are actually fake, and are just wheel covers covering
plain steel wheels. Their design was taken from wheel molds of the Chevrolet Camaro
Concept show car, just like the body itself.

Model Year should not be listed as 2008. Supposedly it will be out in 2009, but since that is in the future and may change it would probably be best to omit the year.

Ils auraient pu transformer le concept-car en Camaro 77 au lieu de faire le contraire,c'est vrai quoi, quand même!

It is a replica of what was called the "2009 Camaro", so I would say that it should either be labeled as 2009, or as 2007 as it is the building-year.

there was a full write up on this in Hot Rod, as Neptune said it is built off of a gto and is just a fibeglass shell(supplied by GM built by Shelby). It is actually labeled as a 2009. Also as Neptune noted most of the stuff is fake-wheels and exposed brake rotors are hub caps/all the billit inside is fiberglass painted/etc...I will have to dig it out to find the correct issue it was in. It even had a small segment on the first aperance of Bumblebee in the movie and the "police issue mustang(not 100% mustang, actually built by Shelby as well if I remember correctly)

Bumblebee: Before he came to Earth, BUMBLEBEE could have cared less about his appearance. As long as his alternate mode kept him hidden, and protected his plasma cannon from the weather, he was content. But now, on Earth, he has found friendship for the first time he can remember, in the person of Sam Witwicky. At Sam's urging, he scans a sweet new vehicle form. Now, he's still ready to the end against the DECEPTICONS, but he sure hopes nothing too bad happens to his paint job.

I wonder if they do this to the new Camaros coming out soon. :D

You can tell they're fake mostly because the brake discs have no callipers on them.

OMG, Coolest car ever made! Camaro is better than any other car every manufactured. I am so glad that the people who did the movie chose the Camaro as the good guy, and made a stupid Mustang one of the bad guys. Very fitting.

This rivalry between Camaro fans and Mustang fans is very annoying. I don't understand why most people feel obligated to hate on a car because of the emblem that's on the front(and trust me, that's all that fuels this rivalry.) Just because one person prefers fords doesnt mean they have to hate chevys and vice versa. Am I the only one who thinks both of these cars are awesome?

And as for Belle01, the Saleen-S281E is NOT a Mustang.

The car was not released yet. There was only a prototype/concept-car. And for sure they didn't use that one :p So it is a replica of that...

Wouldn't '2006 Chevrolet Camaro Concept Replica based on Pontiac GTO' be better, since they were put together by Saleen, and based on GTOs?

It was announced that the car would go into production in 2006 (meaning that production was announced in 2006, but the car went into production in 2009), but the car in the movie was a replica of the concept. Yes, the movie cars were based off of GTOs, put together by Saleen.

But the one shown in 2006 seems different, they made several concept-cars it seems...

True, but the car was essentially based off of the concept, because the production version wasn't revealed until June 21, 2008.

I man it is maybe the 2007 Concept-car :D
Also sometimes concet-cars and pre-production models are named with the target production model year, wasn't it the case when they made the movie? (i.e. were they still expecting to sell it sooner than MY2009)

True, but I'd stick with my previous statement above of being based on the 2006 concept, based on GTO.
