Very nice! ![]() An SAS Pink Panther ... in green ![]() In 1968 the Special Air Service ordered 72 specially equipped Land-Rover 109" Series IIa for long range desert patrol duties. These vehicles were modified by Marshalls of Cambridge and delivered in standard green. Many were later repainted in pink, as this was believed to be the best desert camoufage. I guess no other army in the world would have dared to paint their cars in pink, no matter how good the camoufage effect were. You just have to love the British for such self confidence! |
