That fire doesn't look very real.

What would be the purpose of the ratchet strap (main image) ?

This particular '69 GTO looks remarkably similer to one used in the movie "Line Of Duty" - same color, Judge rear spoiler, hood tach, wood steering wheel, hide-away headlights, Rally II wheels (and tires look similar), and even the stance (slight forward rake that's non-standard). Interesting.

Good eye. I own this car and yes, it was the same one in both of the films. I was the stunt driver behind the wheel of both films as well. This car was also in MacGyver, Killerman, and Sleepless and it was one of the Sex Drive GTO judges as well. It's currently getting and LS2 and 6spd manual swap in preparation for another film. ;)

hey dynamic stunts ... in the off chance that you see this comment, your car looks a lot like one I used to own in 1975, '76 & (possibly) early '77 ... except for: the rear deck lid spoiler, the hide-away headlights and the Rally II wheels ... I don't suppose those features were modifications? My car was originally sold new in Canada (I sold her used in B.C. for $2,800CAD), had the dark green interior (hard to tell if yours is dark green or black [judging from the film 'Line of Duty']), the RAM AIR (III) engine (I had the hood tach like yours), 4-spd. close-ratio trans. (I installed a black velvet-covered Hurst-style 'T' handle shifter) & 4.33:1 gears. I'm damn near certain my car (and yours) were Midnight Green and not Verdoro Green ... but I've seen some darker repaints that claim to be Verdoro Green, so, there is a small degree of uncertainty. A dead giveaway would be three 2" holes in the dashpad above the heater controls ... I installed 3 x Smiths black-face gauges. I put BFG T/A's & Cragars on the car when I had it.
Just thought I'd make this comment to see if you possibly have my old car. Thanks, Kevin McIntosh
