That would be the Powerstroke diesel badge. This has a black background badge, indicating it is equipped with the 7.3L version of the engine. 1999-2003 7.3L badge: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/39740225-15.html 2003-2004 6.0L badge: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/45395506-18.html 2005-2007 6.0L badge: http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/72902631-13.html You will notice that for 2003, you had a choice of diesel engine, the 6.0 liter outsold the older, lower-powered 7.3L handily though. Some people later regretted that choice, as the 6.0 liter had some early reliability issues, while the 7.3 liter was known to be one of the most durable light diesel engines ever made. This badging applies to all F-250 through F-550 Super Duty trucks. -- Last edit: 2019-07-25 22:07:34 |

I am sure that you are quite right in your information, but I do find the description of a 7.3 litre engine as “light” to be amusing, from an English point of view. |
