In the main picture it looks like an American LaFrance fire engine. Hard to be certain just which model unless some info can be found about who supplied the unit for the movie, although it looks to be a six cylinder engined one. In the thumbs the radiator is not right for the American LaFrance. -- Last edit: 2019-06-24 00:38:44 |

Filmed in England, so not necessarily American. This article describes a 1929 Seagrave used in "Dumbo" but it clearly does not match the screengrabs here: Link to "www.beamish.org.uk" -- Last edit: 2019-06-24 01:00:35 |

The movie truck looks like a Maxim, circa 1926. Possibly this exact one that was for sale in England recently: http://www.classiccarweekly.net/2019/05/14/1926-maxim-fire-truck/ -- Last edit: 2019-06-24 01:13:11 |

Actually, the more I look at it, I think the main image and the thumbs are two different trucks, and should be separated. The thumbs are definitely the 1926 Maxim. It has the 'Niantic Fire Dept." text on the hood. The text I linked even mentions it was used in "Dumbo". The main image ("Spencer Fire Dept.") matches neither the Maxim nor the '29 Seagrave. It has a different hood shape, squared off firewall, and spoked wheels. |

It's a 1919 American LaFrance Type 75 |
