This is the 2nd "Zwischenfilmwagen" (= intermediate film system broadcast vehicle), which appears to be the more precise term here, as this is not just a recording vehicle [@andrepa, I hope you don't mind my little refinement of your excellent research!]. All the cameras and gear were provided by the Fernseh AG (among others associated with famous names like Robert Bosch AG, Radioaktiengesellschaft D.S. Loewe, Zeiss Ikon AG), who are understood to be the maker of this conversion - even though I guess that a specialized coachbuilder (maybe Gaubschat??) was involved. We see a wider shot of the scenery here: https://sdtb.de/technikmuseum/ausstellungen/2574/ And a technical sketch here: https://www.fktg.org/sites/default/files/zwischenfilm_12.jpg And a bigger picture of the vehicle here: https://www.fktg.org/sites/default/files/zwischenfilm_10.jpg ... and some further reading (in German) about the intermediate film system https://www.fktg.org/sites/default/files/zwischenfilm_10.jpg https://filmlexikon.uni-kiel.de/index.php?action=lexikon&tag=det&id=8701 https://www.fktg.org/node/5672/dieaeraderzwischenfilmgeraete Edit: ... and in English, if you guys are more interested in specifications than learning another language: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intermediate_film_system -- Last edit: 2019-06-07 16:44:51 |

The Fernseh AG still existing in that way: became BTS GmbH Darmstadt merged into Thomson in 2001 https://www.darmstadt-stadtlexikon.de/f/fernseh-gmbh.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8c2kxujPOc BBC was first with 440 lines but experimental only, while german TV had only 180 lines was first in a daily telecasting with mobile transmitter etc. Fernseh AG came with 441 lines and 2 Mhz in 1937 http://www.cdvandt.org/Band1Heft4Juli'39.pdf -- Last edit: 2019-06-09 02:03:06 |

Inspired by this I did a bit of research: It appears like Luchterhand & Freytag of Berlin were the specialized coachbuilders involved. |
