 Phase VII or VIII - would need a view of front grille to split. Not a VIIIa as does not have full width boot crease although I'm unsure if California got VIIIa features. HLH, HLM, MLH and MLM series all too early, but HCH 765 was Derby June-Aug 55 so Phase VIII.
