I think it's a later (notchback) Warszawa. Back door seems to have a quarter-light.

(Edit) Oops ... so did the Pobieda's ... but I still think it's a Warszawa.

The grill and small blurred badge on the side of hood makes it late 'hunchbacked' Pobieda.

:/ Dobrze bardzo, you know better than me. It's funny though, isn't it? We've got 125ps, Syrenas, Lublins, Zuks, Nysas ... but never a Warszawa. When I visited Poland in 1973 they were quite common.

It would be less funny for you when they would be exported to UK. :D
But wait a minute, what you mean by "we've got"? I thought only 125p and Polonez (+ 126 but by Fiat) were exported there? :D
BTW good Polish! :king: :)

I think he means Polish cars imported by enthusiasts. AFAIK, the only Polish cars sold here were FSOs and Fiat 126s (which were distributed by Fiat UK).

No, sorry, I meant on the site. :/
Gag Halfrunt, weren't the Cinquecento and Seicento, the recent ones, made at FSM in Poland? I know the new 500 will be.
Weasel1984, you're very kind, but I learned just about enough Polish to survive there ... thanks anyway! And I hired a year-old 125p there, and ... well, let's just say I wouldn't have bought one ;)

Why aren't the smileys working?

Ah, that's better :)

Yes, the recent Cinquecento and Seicento were made in Poland, and the former FSM factory is now wholly-owned by Fiat. I was only really thinking of cars from the communist era.

When I was growing up, cars from behind the Iron Curtain were exotic and unusual (but also regarded as hopelessly old-fashioned). Nowadays the only Polish-made cars sold in the UK are Fiats, so I suppose that only Fiatophiles and Polish immigrants are aware that cars made in Poland are still sold here.)

Yes the 'Superminis' - Cinque..., Seicento/600, Panda and new 500 were/are made only here.
There are probably some other cars made only in Poland and sold in UK, the best example can be Vauxhall Agila, Astra Sedan (if will be marketed in UK) also some vans of VW etc.
Warszawas are listed under make FSO. /vehicles.php?make=fso&model=warszawa
