I think this is the third Jeep (foreground) in the film. Suspect this is a CJ2A modified to appear military WWII. This pic shows post war tailgate and exposed tail light but lacks the passenger side pioneer tool slots of the M38 (most M38 restorers keep the vehicle M38 rather than try to pass off as WWII). Difficult to see a glove box on the dash? It has no top mounting hardware. Another pic of this Jeep is at night with the headlights and front marker lights visible and units markings on the bumper. There is no top hardware on this pic and I suspect it is this Jeep as well. The Jeep behind is a CJ2A described elsewhere. No tools slots and the web strap visible over the rear fender and large headlights. It lacks unit markings on the bumper and is unlikely the Jeep pictured in the dark. |
