How and what for plates for police cars do Polish film producers use? When I tried to get Polish police plates for my brother-in-law https://www.kdk-filmservice.de/ (for a Dacia Logan as faked Polish police car), I've experienced, that there's no legal chance to get them. None collector owns some, and it shall be ecen absolutely illegal in Poland to produce faked police plates. |

Yes, and you may got in troubles just asking for. :O I'd say buying-collecting is impossible due to the way of thinking - "We think you need it for crimical use". |

Of course, the owners of vintage post-Milicja cars have self made plate replicas (for featuring movies or events only), sometimes they've working beacons & sirens. However, all these elements make you outlaw on Polish road. It depends how policemen react. Usually they don't see... |

In Germany the cops are very picky about that. When you own a former police car, beacons and sirens have to be out of order, beacons removed or covered, and all POLIZEI-inscriptions and -decals have to be removed. It's allowed to change the blue beacon to an orange one. My brother-in-law has the only official permission in Germany (for his company), to drive vehicles with blue beacons (of course switched off) in the public. For film productions and on car shows it's allowed to use the beacons and sirens, also having faked license plates - but only on private ground or on streets, closed by the police for such purposes. -- Last edit: 2019-03-11 11:56:13 |

It depends how policemen react. Usually they don't see... but that's the case with classic Polonez, PF 125p or Warszawa only. Huge troubles are 100% sure, if you try that with just retired police car. |
