Bedford O?

I'm not really good with British trucks though.

It appears to be a 1946+ model.

I would guess the single headlight indicates it saw 1939-45 military service and was sold for civilain use, or some were built for essential civilian use during manufacturing restrictions during the war.

Thanks for that bit of information. So where would you put the year as?

Bedford OLB (long wheelbase) June 1939 Introduction to March 1953, 5 ton long wheelbase truck.

Civilian and export truck production (but not vans) was suspended from late 1939 to probably early 1941. All wartime civilian and export truck production had to have government approval.

It is still a 1939-53 O-Type or the single headlight indicates 1939-1945.

Never seen a single headlight vehicle in use post war ( ok a few milk floats! ) so I would say accident damage .
