Mostly these Volkswagens were registered as Volkswagen 1/11 during the fifties in Sweden. They can also be Volkswagen Limousine 1/11. In brochures that I have seen from the period they´re just called Volkswagen and nothing more. What I can find the designation 1200 doesn´t appear until 1962 when the Type 3 reached the market, after that the Type 1 was registered as Volkswagen 1200 Limousine 113 (114,117,118 etc) -- Last edit: 2005-11-29 23:03:24 |

Few comments... 1st) is the nickname correct 'beelte'?...or 'beetle'?...in such a case was 'beetle' the proper nickname in Sweden?... 2sd) I don't find the new order of designation ...[chassis] 'extra info'....very judicious ...extra info beeing used as well either for official complement of modelname or nicknames, then it should follow the model name |

1. oops I made a typo in the SQL query I'll correct them. 2. I was thinking to put extra info before the chassis, since in most of the cases it fits better than after the chassis. I'll do that change now (this can be changed quickly later if needed) For other suggestions/comments: http://forum.antp.be/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=2713 -- Last edit: 2005-11-29 23:55:23 |
