This one is four stars. It's driven by the main character Harley Thomas (David Carradine) and takes one hell of a beating. It does several high speed reverse 180° turns, drives across a beach demolishing a hot dog stand and a lifeguard tower, does a wheelie to go through a Police roadblock, flips over when taking a corner too wide and keeps going, and probably the most memorable scene is where it flies off the top of a multistorey parking lot - landing on top of a Mercedes dealership, falls through the roof of the building and lands in the Mercedes showroom unscathed, then drives out straight through the front glass window! It's chased by several vehicles all of which end up crashing in one way or another. Obviously a good few "stunt double" cars were used.

Bel Air Sport Sedan. I would appreciate knowing the correct chassis code from rjluna2 or another member. I went through imcdb for a few more of these Bel Air Sport Sedans.
1956:

1957:

The 1956 and 1957 Bel Air Sport had chassis code [2413] for the sedan. I guess the parts 'Four-Door Hardtop' and 'Sedan' weren't part of the official name. 'Sport' was used for the hardtops, and by the code [2413] one can see it's a four-door sedan - [2454] indicates the hardtop coupe.

That is the info I was looking for. Thank you. It's nice to be able to see them all at a glance.

Can the names be updated according to DynaMike's comments to the 7 examples I listed above?

Those are:

vehicle_42072-Chevrolet-Bel-Air-1957.html

Correct me if I am in error, but is the reason that the C-pillars are shaped in such a manner to add strength to the remaining roof support members on the four-door hardtops?

I appreciate the help. You may call this activity of mine a crusade in the interest of this body style!

It's been seven or eight years since I saw this film, but I seem to recall the engine described in the dialogue as a "souped up 409." Nice choice for a '57 Chevy street rod.

Also, I recall a scene in which the trunk was up, revealing gold paint on the inside.

Let me point out that vehicle_78689-Chevrolet-Bel-Air-1957.html I could not verify is this vehicle is too blurry to make details out of it. Remember, there is another 1956/57 4 door hardtop out in the market such as Chevrolet Two-Ten 2 door coupe as I found at vehicle_165499-Chevrolet-Two-Ten-2154-1957.html . I haven't found Chevrolet Two-Ten 4 door hardtop in imcdb website yet.

Good point! I forgot that the 210 series had narrower side trim. If that is the case, could you call
vehicle_42072-Chevrolet-Bel-Air-1957.html
as imcdb's first 210 series 4dht? I understand the light blue one is blurry and more difficult to tell. Thanks again. :) What do the 3 hash marks above the front side trim represent, or is the number arbitrary like the 15 slashes on the 1958 Buick Limited? Does only Bel Air 1957 have those?

They were just random trim pieces exclusive to the Bel Air, and one of the easiest ways to identify a 1957 chevrolet as a Bel Air.

Those 3 stripes on the front fender with chrome trim insert do indicates Bel Air series and the other has same 3 indented at the front fender without chrome insert usually found in both Two Ten and One Fifty series...
