Its a Discovery 2, and I think its the facelifted model built between 2002 and 2004. |

It’s not a 2002 model for sure. It has the 2003 model year facelift, and beyond that, the restyled chunky roof rails introduced for the 2004 model year. They are the only visible difference between a ’03 and a ’04. Being a 2004, it is also more capable in low traction conditions than its older (1999-2003) model siblings. Land Rover (thankfully) reintroduced the locking centre differential and corresponding shift linkage, even if it was only for the last model year of the Series II. It is nice to have a confirmed 2004 model on the site... The 2004 Discovery Series II is the only version to have a proper 4x4 system. |
