Main and thumb 2, 1959-62 Austin A55 Mark II.

Thumb 1 is the Oxford Series II again.

^ No problem - easily resolved. Better to be cautious than over-confident.

There is no reason for you to apologise. You are posting pictures for bone idle beggars like me to look at, and upon which to comment. If I may, however, there is one more point for debate.

The car in thumb one above does not have a bonnet ornament which should be present on a Cambridge, although the rest of the car looks similar. Any theories?

BTW, I have good knowledge of the A55 Mkll Cambridge, having driven many miles in 616 DUY, a Cambridge which appeared at home after my Dad’s collection of Oxfords, but between a Vanguard Vignale and a Triumph 2000.

Only an onscreen lighting effect somehow blanking it. An Oxford S5 would look more different (with more obvious bonnet strip/badge, also more grille bars) so fairly sure it can only be A55, and the thumbs look a continuous sequence.
