The wheelplan and revenue weight suggest the plate is correct for the Transcontinental though.

"Origin Netherlands" ? Made in the Netherlands doesn't mean it was designed there. How about "Origin Europe" instead ?

1993cc was the capacity of the 2 litre ohc engine used by Ford in the later European built Cortinas, Capris, Granadas, Sierras, Transits and whatever else. I’ve driven many a mile being pushed (rwd) by that engine and found its performance and economy (0-60 in 10.5 secs and 108mph in the Cortina V) quite acceptable for my needs in U.K. Pulling a 38 tonne artic may be a different kettle of fish, however.
