So far, I only know 2 "coupés" from the R4 : the (single copy) "coach Bertin", who always stayed in France, and the Renault Mini 4S, only build in Uruguay. So here we see one - 1st pic at the top of page -> Link to "www.elcarrocolombiano.com" and here it must be back end of the very same car -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDUXgL3LhFM (same plate and the same owner what mentioned in article linked above) The rear is unfortunately different than of the car in movie. Taillamps are not original, but doors are too big. Anyway it is good trace IMHO! The sides of the movie car are indeed like in R4 and now we know that such conversions existed. Perhaps there were more types of these Colombian "breaks" with different body shapes or some people built unique vehicles on their own. Linked site shows period advert of chassis-cab (with 2-doors). PS. Other possibility is that it was heavily rebuilt in the meantime and doors has been enlarged - are not original... -- Last edit: 2020-01-19 22:34:59 |
