| The mouldings on the rear fenders were only in 1956. Looks like a Coupe DeVille inscription on the front wing indeed. [6237D]. |

| It's actually a 1956 Cadillac "Sedan de Ville" (4-door) - look at the photo where the driver is stepping out of the car; you can see the rear door and door handle. BTW, this was my FIRST car; I bought it in Geneva in December of 1966. I remembered seeing an ad for this particular model in the National Geographic Magazine for December 1955. And just for the romantic side of the story, as I was driving the Cadillac off Joe Zucatti's used car lot, I caught a glimpse of a teenage girl stepping out of a baby-blue 1959 Chevy Impala, going to her daddy's bowling alley across the street. I didn't know it at the time but that teenager became my wife just 5 1/2 years later ! |
