I think this rig deserves 3 stars. It was the SWAT team's mode of transportation for a good part of the ordeal and we certainly do see it a lot. |

I also think we should the year 1979 up there because it has the mirrors like a 79 GMC General so please put 1979 up there as a year for this truck |

I would dare say this truck is actually a 1978, because it has the bigger and more rounded mirrors which the last year for that was in 1978, in 1979 they had the more square mirrors and alot more smaller, I'm not sure when the GMC General started, but they started with this mirror design and then went to the more square and smaller mirrors in 1979, at the very newest this truck can only be a 1978 here's a link to compare what I am talking about of the mirrors here's the 1978 GMC General Link to "www.google.com" and here's the 1979 GMC General Mirrors, also notice in 1979 they had the little bracket in the middle of the mirror, but in 1978 they didn't have that, which this one doesn't doesn't Link to "www.google.com" -- Last edit: 2010-12-12 18:27:52 |

Link to "www.google.com" Yeah, this truck is a 1978 not any older, not any newer, has the older mirrors, but the grill was wider 76 & 77,this one has the thiner grill, and they had a different style mirror for the 1979 and new models above in the link is a 1978 Model Gmc General in the link below is an 1979 and newer model http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/archer/2002/jan/81_gmc_general.jpg and here's a 1977 GMC General with a Wider Grill Link to "www.hankstruckpictures.com" so, please confirm the year as 1978 instead of 1979,cause I gave you all the links -- Last edit: 2010-12-13 03:43:00 |

The truck driver here is actually Tommy J. Huff, who did stunt driving for both "Convoy" and "Black Dog". |

I remembered that when the yellow big rig just stopped by the big gap before the bus jumped the big gap during the construction zone in Los Angeles |
