According to my reference source, the Town Custom limo was a separate model from the Marathon. The models listed for 1962 were Superba, Marathon and Town Custom limo. "Encyclopedia of American Cars 1930-80" |

The main trouble with Checker is they didn't care about their cars' nomenclature.  1966 folder gives the name 'Deluxe Marathon Sedan' for 8-passenger limo. Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.org" |
