Twin Plenum vitesse identifiable by the giant air dam.

Not necessarily.... The cow catcher front air dam (which is a damn nuisance over
speed bumps!) was a 1985 model year item - the twin-throttle plenum only appeared
from late 1985 onwards. I've also yet to see a export car with twin-throttles
(possibly UK-only).

PK-01-NL:
1986 Rover 3500 Vitesse

So it's definately a Vitesse.

I'm pretty amazed that it's still on the road. It has an MOT that's valid until 14-06-2008 and the current owner of the car owns it since 1989! It has a pretty cool license plate as well. ;)

Sorry, I wasn't clear. It's not a Twin Plenum variant of the Vitesse - I'm now certain Twin Plenum Vitesses
were right-hand-drive only cars, produced at the very end of SD1 production for racing homologation. So this
car would be what's termed a single plenum Vitesse.

Definetely not. Maybe he thinks "made for" my country - but this car has Dutch plates.
Otherwise: it's possible, that it was sold in Germany before. Cars, over 25 years old, are very popular in NL, because they are tax-free. So a plenty of them were imported now, often from Germany. The percentage of bigger cars, sold as new, is much lower in the Netherlands, compared to Germany.

The car still looks very good and has a new owner since 2012 (see RDW or VWE).
