East End of London, a large concentration, at that time, of schmutter manufacturers in little sweat shops. West End of London, a large concentration of idiots prepared to give the shops a 200% mark up on the garments produced by girls earning Three Pounds Ten a week. The result, gown vans crossing the City, so no great coincidence. Also, a coachbuilder in Clapham, whose name I have been trying to remember for about fifty years, who concentrated on gown vans.
